Anti Ragging Cell

           Government Arts and Science College for Women, Orathanadu is totally a ragging – free campus.  Anti-Ragging Committee has been constituted in our college to prevent ragging and to take anti-ragging measures as per the guide lines issued by the Supreme Court of India and UGC.  Our College tries to develop a harmonious relationship among the students and strictly prohibits ragging in the campus.  

• It has an Anti-Ragging Committee which includes the Principal and other staff members. Anti-Ragging Committee will be the Supervisory and Advisory Committee on matters of Planning Action for Building and Preserving a Culture of Ragging Free Environment in the college campus.
• The students are given orientation about the evil effects of ragging and the legal punishments in order to curb this practice. The students are sensitized through awareness programmes soon after the commencement of each academic year.
• The hostel in our college is also under strict supervision and thus the students learn to respect their juniors and seniors beyond their basic differences.
