Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a movement established by Government of India in schools and colleges through which students involve themselves in creating an awareness of HIV/AIDS.
1. To create an awareness and to induce the spirit among youth to help and support people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) thereby reducing stigma and discrimination against PLHWAs.
2. To motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation, and team building.
3. To promote voluntary blood donation among youth.
Red Ribbon Club was started in our college in the year---- and usually the unit consists of 100 students every year from I and II year under graduation students from various disciplines. RRC in our college functions effectively with the main purpose of spreading awareness on HIV/AIDS and prevention of drugs abuse.
