Guidance and Counselling Cell

The purpose of Guidance and Counselling cell is to provide wide range of guidance programs and activities which will provide students with adequate knowledge, attitude and skills to be socially responsible individuals.
The cell fosters students by different activities and allows  them to overcome their struggles in the academic year thereby moving effectively towards success. Apart from this, it supports the students to overcome class, social, and economic barriers to complete their college education. . The students who require guidance will be identified by the Department   and then Guidance and Counselling Cell committee prioritize their areas of deficiency and recommends appropriate measures.  After identification, the students are given counselling in the areas of academy as well as personal counselling in some cases.

• The Counselling Cell provides a scope for the students to nurture both their personal and professional goals with self-esteem and self-awareness along with focussed understanding.
• Choosing the right career, making choices in life, confidence issues, peer pressure, self doubt and  relationship issues are the few problems faced by the present generation for which the need guidance and counselling. 
• The Cell provides career guidance to students based on an analysis of their talents and interest, personality.   Guidance for suitable work environments is also provided in vocational guidance.
• Special counselling is given to disturbed students, regular absentees and academically poor students, whenever required by the Staff members of Department.
• Career Guidance and Counselling Cell conducts regular career guidance to outgoing students.
• Students got placement in Government Schools, Railways, various private Colleges and Schools. They are also working in Industries and Companies in cities like Chennai, Thirupur and Coimbatore.
